Air temps were 106 when I ppulled out at 4pm. On the water it felt like 110. No kidding. Fishing was slow but I managed a few. All were fat and put up a good battle. A few small schools working the surface but nothing too special yet. It'c coming though. Lake is low but coming up steady. Here are a few shots of the lake.

The weather here has been up and down. Right now its 8pm and 85 out. Dry and hot. Spent fri-sunday chasing Stripers and carp. Carp fishing is picking up after a slow August. Also, the size of carp are above average and with this heat there are very few people out where I like to chase them. Lots of fish on the flats to grab your flies. Stripers are just getting going with any consistancy but we need some cooler weather to really kick things off. It's going to be a good fall.

I had every excuse to do poorly this weekend with the moon phase, weekend boat traffic, heat, wind etc etc...But, it was actually decent fishing on the Delta. Spme missed chances on couple of fish but otherwise it was ok. Crowds were down with schools starting already and frankly, everyone is broke. Looking forward to fall!
